HDSN on the request of AMDA PHCP with the support of UNHCR conducted an OUT training for the health workers of AMDA from the 10th till the 21st of October 2011 in Damak. During this training a total of 10 health workers working for AMDA PHCP were given a training on Oral Urgent Treatment. The trainees had to under go an extensive five day course on basic oral health care management and also treat patients in the form of Bhutanese Refugees during the five days of camps that followed. The camps for the training were conducted in Timai, Sanishare, Khudnabari, Beldangi 1 and 2. During the five days of camp 421 patients were checked where 299 teeth of 233 patients were also extracted by these trained health workers. At the end of the program 9 out of the 10 participants who successfully completed the training were handed out certificates by HDSN. Dr. Jagadish, Dr. Kristina and Dr. Kiran were the trainers that conducted the training.
