HDSN organized a brushing program at Green Lawns School, Balkhu, Kathmandu on August 19th 2011. 274 students from classes Nursery to class 5 were first given an orientation on oral health. They were taught about the proper methods of brushing their teeth. Tooth brush and tooth paste were also distributed as a year round brushing program. An oral screening of all the student was done in case the school and the parents decide to also go for treatment for the needy students. The program was run by Mr. Ajay Basnet from HDSN. Mr. Navin Singh Mouny, Mr. Rojan Baidya and Mr. Suryadeep Basnyat students from People’s Dental College and Hospital currently volunteering at HDSN assisted him in running the program.
